Ecological awareness

We created Dametis because we are sensitive to environmental issues such as the fight against climate change or the preservation of ecosystems. The more years go by, the more we realize how crucial and urgent these challenges are at the dawn of the 21st century.
Data refers to the data collected, analyzed, and interpreted,
because we can only optimize what we measure.

Mêtis is the goddess of wisdom and cunning in Greek mythology:
she embodies human expertise within our company.

The Kaya Equation

K aya’s equation indicates that global greenhouse gas emissions are the product of 4 factors:

✔ P = world population;
✔ S = services produced by a factory;
✔ E = energy intensity of a factory;
✔ C = carbon intensity of the factory.

Failing to influence the first 2 factors, Dametis is convinced that it can act on energy intensity (factor E) and carbon intensity (factor C) in the industrial sector.
The challenge is to consume less energy and less carbon at an equivalent performance level.

To tackle a problem of this magnitude, we must act on several complementary fronts.
We can improve the energy efficiency of factories, use decarbonized energies, aim for more moderation in terms of resource consumption, save water, and limit material loss.
To address these issues head-on, we must act at the individual, local, national, global, entrepreneurial, and associative levels.
